Lifestyle newborn session with a family of four.
As a lifestyle newborn photographer in the East Bay of California, I really enjoy photographing in-home newborn sessions that include the early day portraits or babies with their family members. As lovely and convenient as solo newborn sessions can be, my personal favorite has to be "newborn family sessions." When I gave birth to my oldest son I had actively searched out for a newborn family portrait photographer because I wanted to capture the beginning of our family. In that session we put a pause on our busy and hectic new life with a newborn and settled down for an hour for some family focused time "aka" our family photo session. We got to bond with our baby while our photographer guided us, genteelly staged us, and captured some of our most cherished photos to this day. That is exactly what I do every time I photographer a newborn family session of my own. I create an enjoyable and relaxed experience that captures the unique essence of the family as they bond and enjoy all the love between them and their newborn baby.
For this particular session the theme was luminous and modern and we wanted to capture a variety of photos of baby Maddy who was only a little over two weeks old. Isn't she so precious?! And look at that gorgeous head of hair! I was happy to capture these moments while they lasted because though it has only been two weeks since this photoshoot - baby has grown so much in just that short time.
